Obituary

Janet M. Cardi, age 82 of Pataskala, passed away August 7, 2014, with her family by her side. She was born in South Charleston, West Virginia, to the late Samuel and Lorraine Harris on November 22, 1931. Janet graduated from South Charleston High
School where she participated in many sports and activities. Janet enjoyed working with people. She started working at the age of 14 (she told them she was 16) at a Root Beer stand. Janet was a beautiful and talented woman who began her career as a
model. She was crowned Miss West Virginia and was a contestant in the Miss Universe Pageant. Janet loved to dance and owned and operated a dance studio in Beckley, WVA, with her husband. After moving to Columbus, she worked for Wood Motors Co., and then
co-owned two businesses with her husband in Reynoldsburg. Janet traveled the world working for American International Travel Service. She also worked for the State of Ohio where she retired after many years of service. Janet was a devoted and loving
wife and mother. She was very proud of her family and loved them dearly. She was a very caring and generous person who had many friends and relatives who will miss her very much. She is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Jr.; and brother, Marvin
Harris. Janet is survived by her children, Cherie (Dr. Gregg) Testerman of Lebanon, Ohio, Carl III of Newark, Ohio and Rick (Bobbi) of Columbus, Ohio; grandsons, Dr. Bradd (Caroline), Jared, Jason (Katie) and Brian Testerman, Vince, Cole and Cord
Cardi, and granddaughter Rachel Cardi; nephews Bob and Dave Harris; five great-grandchildren; and many friends and relatives. Friends may call Sunday, August 17, 2014, at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, Columbus, from 1:30 p.m. until concluding with her funeral at 3:30 p.m. The Rev. Dr. William L. Snider will be Presiding. In lieu of flowers, dontations in her name are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association of Central Ohio, 1379 Dublin Road, Columbus (43215).
