Obituary

Elizabeth Antoinette (Policella) Woodland, age 77, died on Monday April 7, 2014 at Mount Carmel West Hospital. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Woodland; parents, Louis and Carmella Policella and sister, Mary Miller. Survived by her daughter, Beth (Stan) Sagun; son, Eric (Christina) Woodland; grandchildren, Amelia and Adam Sagun, Lauren and Trevor Woodland; brother-in-law, Ed Miller and her aunt, Maria Camperchioli; cousins and numerous nieces and nephews. Liz was a member of St. Brigid of Kildare Parish and a graduate of the Mt. Carmel School of Nursing. She was also a member of the Damen Sektion of The Columbus Maennerchor, Agonis Women's Club, St. Joseph Academy Almuni Club and the Mt. Carmel Almuni Association. Liz was a devoted mother to her children and worked tirelessly volunteering her time and efforts at St. Agnes Parish and School, St. Stephen the Martyr Parish and Bishop Ready High School. She was engaged in a number of charities and an active member of the family business. She was dedicated to her family, her grandchildren and her Faith, and was a lifelong Ohio State Buckeye fan. Friends may call Thursday, April 10, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. Fifth Avenue, Columbus. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., on FRIDAY, April 11, 2014, at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 7179 Avery Road, Dublin. Burial to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Liz to Charity Newsies, 4300 Indianola Ave, Columbus (43214) or Mt. Carmel Palliative Care Unit, c/o Mount Carmel Foundation, 6150 E. We were very sorry to hear about your mom. We live across the street from her and she was a wonderful neighbor to have. She was always very kind to the kids when they would use her driveway for skateboarding and bike riding. We had many pleasant conversations with her. She will be missed. Lynne, Dan, Eve, Amanda and Vince.
