My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. I have very fond memories of Dunedin Road and the Carter house! Elvira always welcomed the neighbor kids. She was also a dear friend of my mom--I hope they are visiting together in Heaven.

I am so grateful to have been able to have spent as much time as possible with your mom early on. After my mom died, Elvira was as close as a mom could be. She taught me so much and brought me closer to god. She also helped me to be strong for tom. she was as saintly as any human being I will ever know. I loved her very much.

Our thoughts are with the whole family.
We had the chance to meet Joe's mum at Petra's and Joe's wedding in 2012. We got to know a very friendly and warm old lady. It's a pity we couldn't spent more time with her.
