Obituary

C. Ray Buck, long time resident of Grandview Heights, born September 17, 1927 to Clarence & Myrtle Buck, passed away July 27, 2010. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII, serving aboard the USS Briareus. Ray retired from AEP after 42 years of dedicated service. He was a member, elder and usher at Boulevard Presbyterian Church, a life member of the Northwest Kiwanis, GAC, Flytown Club and the Grandview and St. Francis Seniors. Ray was also a past president of the Grandview City Council and Planning Commission, Franklin County Area Planning, MORPC and the Grandview Boosters among other community activities. He is preceded in death by his precious sons Stephen and Michael, grandson Aron, brothers, Harry, Denford and Arthur. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years Eleanor, son Joel, daughter-in-law Vicky Buck, grandchildren, Farrah, Ryan, Raymond, James, David, Alex and Cassidy. Friends may call FRIDAY July 30, 2010 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM with the GAC and Flytown Services at 7:00 PM. Funeral 10:00 AM on SATURDAY July 31, 2010 at Boulevard Presbyterian Church, 1235 Northwest Boulevard, Reverend Brett Swanson, Officiating. Friends are asked to meet at church where a formal procession will take Ray to the cemetery. Interment will follow at the Sunset Cemetery, 6959 West Broad Street, Galloway, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Ray to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.
