Elmer Bukey, formerly of Hilliard, OH, died on Friday, August 8, 2014, in Clermont, Florida. Elmer lived ninety-three remarkable years. His years before retiring were filled with hard work. Then, he and his wife of more that sixty years, Grace, moved to Orlando, Florida, to begin their retirement years. Together, they made new friends, traveled, and did things they both loved. Grace was the love of his life, but Elmer also enjoyed fishing, eating ice cream each day, and communicating with other WWII veterans. Elmer even received a commendation from the country of China for the websites he developed. These sites tell about the Air Force and the planes used during WWII. Most importantly, he was always available when someone needed a helping hand. Elmer was preceded in death by his mother and father, Edna and Elmer Bukey; three sisters, Mary, Pauline and Rose; brother-in-law, Gus Filichia; and his wife Grace. He is survived by his son, Joe (Susanne) Bukey; granddaughters, Christina and Danielle, and great-grandson, Bryce; daughter, Theresa (Kusner) and grandson Shawn; sister-in-law, Rose Flichia. He will be remembered fondly by all other family members and friends. Elmer will be greatly missed by so many. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., at JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus, with his funeral Mass to follow at 12:30 p.m., at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel (within the grounds of St. Joseph Cemetery) 6440 S. High St., Lockbourne. Entombment to follow in St. Joseph Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Elmer to the Visiting Angels, 2215 Cluster Oak, Suite 3, Clermont, FL (34711) or to
