Obituary

Gina M. Ginnetti, born 12-1-1930, died at her home on 11-1-2017, surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by parents, Leone and Anna Ginnetti; sisters, Giulia D'Allesandro, Lina Susi and Jenny Cardone. Survived by nieces and nephew, Anna Cardone-Merritt, Carmelina Cardone, Jo Cardone (Joel) Oster, Doreen Susi and Jerry Susi; great nieces, Christina Merritt and Francesca Oster; and several nieces, great nieces and nephews in Italy. Gina was born in Pettorano Sul Gizio, Italy, coming to the USA at the age of 19, where she worked at The Paperlynen Company for many years. A member of Our Lady of Victory Church, her Catholic faith and family were of utmost importance to Gina. She enjoyed gardening, singing and cooking for her friends. Gina was active in the Cuoro Choir of St. John The Baptist Italian Catholic Church and a volunteer for the Italian Festival. Heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, Rose Fullenwider, Tarquina Varno and Danita Burris, and the OhioHealth Hospice Team. Special thanks to Gloria Di Pietro for her constant friendship, and all those who continued to visit her throughout her illness; your kindness will not be forgotten. Friends may call Monday, November 6, 2017 from 10 a.m., until time of her funeral Mass at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Road (Marble Cliff). Rev. Msgr. Romano Ciotola, Presider. Burial to follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Gina to the OhioHealth Foundation/Kobacker House, POB 600001, Columbus (43272-9802) or Our Lady of Victory Church. Aunt Gina knew she was loved by all of us and will be very missed. She is finally at peace with her sisters and parents in heaven, and I am sure she is happy. Thanks for all the comfort you and others provided to her. She will always be remembered in our hearts and prayers.
