Our hearts are broken. When she was visiting us a few weeks ago we were so excited that she was doing so well, so this news is so unexpected. She made our every morning so much fun. It was the whole reason we walked to the Goody Shop every day. When she left we have rarely returned, not the same without her. In fact our lives will not be the same without her, we loved her! You are all in our hearts and prayers.

We are so sad to hear of Carol's passing. I (TK, Toni Kelly-Long) had met her at Brun Sensor Systems (we were "Brunnies" together back in 1971. We used to have a girl's card club one night a week. We worked together for many years (AccuRay through ABB) and spent some good times at JC's Sports Page Lounge with your Mom & Dad. Shawn and Jack (Jack Persinger III), my nephew, were also good buddies. Lime and I have been in Georgia for about 25 years. We were in Columbus a few years back visiting and actually got to say hello to your Mom at the Goody Shop. Our thoughts and prayers are with you; keep her always in your hearts; she was a wonderful, happy person.

I am very, very sorry for your loss. I knew Carol from my frequent trips to the Tremont Goodie Shop and always enjoyed interacting with her. She was a delightful way to start my day. She was always eager to talk about her children. I felt heart-broken the first time I went to the Goodie Shop and she wasn't there, at which time the other ladies told me of her diagnosis. I prayed for her daily and always asked about her when I was back in the Goodie Shop. I'm glad she is now pain-free.
