Deepest condolences from The Rizzi Family (Sam, Hillary, Sophia, Hannah). It was a privilege for me to coach and my girls to play in Mike's Whetstone rec league girls basketball program over the last several years. He was a joy to work with and be around and will be missed dearly.

Mike was a large part of my childhood at Holton Rec. Center. From the age of 8-18, everyday he was there for a lot of us. I recently became employed with Park and Recreation and had the pleasure of talking with him again. He was the same person that brought joy to so many especially me even though he might have never known it. This is a great loss to the world and he will be missed. Prayers to family and friends.

Our family had the pleasure of knowing Mike for many years during the time he worked at the Whetstone Rec Center. He presided over everything with humor, patience, and a twinkle in his eye. He knew most kids there by name and took a real interest in our family and the development of our children. We were always cheered and comforted by his presence, and we will miss him more than we can say. He was the heart and soul of the Center. Our sincerest condolences go to his family and many, many friends.
