Obituary

Clara (Spinelli) Zari, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016, at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Retired employee of Montaldo's and April's Flowers. Devout member of St. John The Baptist Italian Catholic Church. Faithful volunteer and dancer for the Italian Festival, and sang with Coro Italiano. Member of Amici Doro, Blessed Mother and Madonna Dolorato Sodalities and St. Francis Seniors. She is preceded in death by parents, Nunciato and Antoinette (Gaspparo) Spinelli; brothers, Frank and Nicola "Nick" Spinelli; and husband, Lawrence Zari. Survived by brother and sister-in-law, James (Donna) Spinelli of Bristol, Conn.; and many nephews, nieces and dear friends. Friends may call on Monday, June 20, 2016, from 4-7 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue (with a Prayer Service at 4 p.m.). Family and friends are asked to gather at 10:00 a.m., for her funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet Street, Columbus. The Rev. Fr. Anthony P. Lonzo, Presider. Entombment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, Lockbourne. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute in memory of Clara to St. John the Baptist Italian Catholic Church, 720 Hamlet Street, Columbus Ohio 43215.
