Mary Teresa Sansone, age 88, of Columbus, passed away peacefully and in the presence of her family on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Mary is survived by her children, Teresa Rose Black (Chuck deceased), Jim (Patty) Sansone, Mike (Julie) Sansone and Tom (Theresa) Sansone; grandchildren, Jennifer, Chuck (Ashley) and David Black, Mike Roten, Joey, Matt, Nick and Brian Sansone; great-grandsons, Ryan and Jay Black; brother-in-law, Tony Pusateri and many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Vincent "Buddy" Sansone, parents, Casmiro and Mary Teresa Guglielmi; brothers, Frank (Mary) Guglielmi, Angelo Guglielmi; sisters, Alvera (Joe) Derio, Yolanda (John) Francisco, Filomena (Joe) D'Andrea, Ann (Tony) Izzie, Lena (Bud) Morey, twin sister and best friend, Teresa Pusateri, Ginny (Angelo) Bucci. Mary was born February 4, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio. She married Buddy on July 4, 1950. As members of St. James the Less Catholic Church, they raised 4 children. Mary was a kind and loving person. Throughout her life, she put the needs of others before her own. She gave generously and unconditionally. Her warmth and genuine care were evident in her smile and greeting. Mary's passion was her family. She excelled at being a wife, a mother and a grandmother. She treated her children's friends as family and most called her Mom. Mary was a talented cake decorator. She enjoyed crocheting and made countless blankets for family, friends and charity. Special thanks to the staff and residents of Parkside Village for the fine care and friendships over the past three years. Mary's family will receive friends on Sunday, November 1, 2015, from 2-6 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus. Her funeral Mass is Monday, November 2, 2015, at 10:30 a.m., at St. James the Less Church, 1652 Oakland Park Avenue, (Procession to form at the Church) with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
