It seems like just yesterday that I spoke with Bill regarding his participation in my Dad’s, Charles Lazarus, memorial service in May of 2007. And when I spoke to him--several times--last year, it seemed like just yesterday that I saw him on my many visits to Dad’s office so many years before.
There are very few others I recall from those earlier years, except by their names. But Bill is a fixture in my memory, an elegant elegant man; not merely in how he looked and carried himself, but in the way he treated other people and the fond manner in which he always spoke of Mrs. Giovanello.
And Dad, whom I later called Pop, often spoke about Bill at the diner table when I was a kid--really! He thought Bill was exceptional and it came through whenever he spoke of him.
My memories of Bill are real. Yours are no doubt many many more and I hope they comfort you at this difficult time.
Please be god to yourselves.
Sincerely, Stuart Lazarus

I have never met Mr Giovanelo but feel like I have known him all my life. His son Bill and I have become friends over the last few years and the stories he has shared with me are that of a truely remarkable man. Memories are never lost.
My deepest condolences and may God bless you all.
Sincerely, Bill Gifford

I remember Mr. Giovanello from my days working for Lazarus. As President, Mr. Giovanello promoted me to my first buying position in 1975. He was a Giant in the industry, as we all know. To me he was an inspiration. I can honestly say I do not recall other businessman I respected more and probably never will.
I have had the good fortune to know his son, Bill Jr., and watch him develop into a fine, reputable businessman in his own right... and, more importantly, into an admirable person...a good person, like his Dad. I know Bill Sr. was proud of his son, as his son was of him.
In his later years, my wife, Jill, and I would occasionally run into him and Vi at Enrico's, a local pizza parlor in Dublin. It was always a pleasure to briefly talk to him. As was his nature, he made time for me. He made me feel special. I will miss him and think of him often. What a great man!
My sincere and heartfelt condolences,

To Viola & Family,
I wanted to express my heartfelt sympathy to you Viola for the loss of your husband, and to the rest of your family for the loss of their father and grandfather. I have very fond memories of the Giovanello family, and so did my mother Katie Diorio who recently passed away on April 20th, 2008, at the age of 93. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

My name is Annette. I would like to express my deepest sympathy to each of you.
Although we are not acquainted with one another, we are acquainted with the pain when our loved ones fall asleep in death.
At Matthew 6:10 Jesus taught us to pray for God's Kingdom to come here upon the earth as it is in the heavens.
The fact that the the heavens is peaceful, no sickness, death, etc. is surely a place where we would like to be. So when we pray for these conditions to come on the earth, we are asking God to restore the earth back to its original condition when he created the first Man and Woman.
That Kingdom will be a reality here on the earth.
The Scriptures promises that the day is soon to come in which death will be no more and that Almighty God Jehovah will wipe away the tears of sorrow from our eyes forever. (Revelation 21:3-5)
He promises too that your loved ones, my loved ones and many others will hear his voice and come out of the memorial tombs (graves) to live in heaven-like conditions right here on the earth. (John 5:28,29; Psalms 37:29)

Dear Viola and Family,
It has been many years since we spent time around Glen & Joan's pool together but I still remember all the good conversations and such care and love you and Bill showed. I was saddened to hear from Anne Filbert that Bill had passed away.
Though your heart must hold deep sadness during this time of Bill's passing, your lifetime love, may it also hold the blessings of the life you and Bill shared and the love that will always be a part of you.
With sympathy to you Viola and your family. I will be forever thankful that you and Bill walked through my life and left your footprints.
