Obituary

Joseph John D'Andrea, age 84, Monday December 1, 2003 at the Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing. Joe was a hard worker who was known as the fastest kid in Flytown. He knew how to put a smile on anyone's face that was around him. If you wanted to have fun and a cold beer, Joe would always be there for you. He was the best father anyone could ever have. The sadness on the grandchildren's faces proved the love they had for him. They will never forget the wagon rides that lasted all day. Joe was a man who loved football along with his friend Woody Hayes. “ Dad your mission in life was accomplished. Thanks for being a wonderful father and grandfather”. Joe is preceded in death by his parents Tony & Carmella and five siblings. He is survived by sons Fred(Paula) of Boca Raton, FL, Joey(Sandy) & daughter Rosemarie, grandchildren: Joey, Wade, Kimberly and Nicholas and sister Marguerite Travella. Family will receive friends at the JOHN QUINT & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue on Friday December 5, 2003 from 4:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday December 6, 2003 at St. Agatha Catholic Church, 1860 Northam Road, Msgr. David R. Funk, Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. THERE WILL BE NO FORMAL PROCESSION TO CHURCH OR CEMETERY. Condolences can be sent via www.johnquint.com.

Let me introduce myself. I'm Ray Dandera the son of Joseph Dandera. I want to start by saying how sorry I am for your loss.

As a child I remember my father getting phone calls for Joseph D'Andrea. My parents would laugh and say it was for the other guy. My father died in September of 1977. He would have been 85 today. He also lived in Flytown, a name you don't here these days. He also was at John Quint and Sons when he passed. I know I'm a total stranger but it's funny how people stick out in your mind. When I saw the obit in the paper I just had to let you know how sorry I am for your loss.

Joe,

Sorry again about your dad, it sounds like he was a great guy to know. I'm glad Joey and Wade got to know him as they did, that is something they will have forever.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, especially as we know what you have experienced.

Roggy
