William J. "Bookie" Donahue, age 95, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Worthington Christian Village. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Harrington) Donahue; and his sister, Rosella (Joe) Potts. He is survived by his daughters, Kerry (Greg) Elliott and Erin (Mike) Brinkman; grandsons, Colin and Dan Brinkman. A proud graduate of Aquinas High School, Bookie served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He retired from the Franklin County Engineer's Office and was a member of the 4S Club, Flytown Club and a member of Immaculate Conception Church. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 from 4-7 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus (with a Flytown service at 5 p.m.). Family and friends are asked to gather at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel (within the grounds of St. Joseph Cemetery), 6440 S. High Street, Lockbourne, on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., for his funeral Mass. Entombment to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum. His family wishes to thank Bookie's caregivers at Worthington Christian Village, OhioHealth Hospice and Iterim HealthCare.
