To my dear cousins Maria and Michelle,

It is with great sadness that we offer our condolences for the loss of your dear mother and our great aunt (Zia Maria). I have so many fond memories of our childhood when your family came to America from Italy. The memories of your first apartment near our grandparents home off of Livingston Ave, our visits there with amazing italian food and lots of female chatter in the kitchen; both of your weddings at the Berwick house, and your parents lovely home are embedded in my memory. Zia Maria was kind, loving, FUNNY and spirited! An amazing italian cook and lovely woman. My mother loved her dearly, as she did your father. The thoughts I have today are about how she is in heaven with her dear husband and siblings, and that she no longer has to suffer the pain of not knowing who and where she is. You both were blessed, as we were, to have her with you for a good life. My heart is with your family. With love, your cousin Karen and my family.

Dear Maria, Michelle and family,
Please accept our deepest condolences for the passing of your dear, sweet mother. As Karen said, we all have such wonderful memories of time spent in Columbus with your Mom and Dad, and both of you. I remember how your Mom would smile her sweet smile, and say something in Italian to us. While we didn't always know what she was saying (but loved hearing the Italian conversations!!), we always felt loved and enjoyed our time with her. I know that you will miss your Mom very much, but I hope and pray that you will find comfort in knowing that she is with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and that you will see her again one day in heaven and spend eternity with her. Until then, we are sure there is quite a joyful reunion happening between your Mom and Dad,your grandparents, Nonny and Babbo, Mom, Aunt Liz and Uncle Don, as well as all of her siblings. I hope you will also find peace and comfort in knowing that you took such wonderful care of your Mom when she needed you most. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of you. With love, Joyce, Steve, Nicole and Kristen
