Jodelle Aline (Miller) Lorenz, age 86, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2017. Jodelle was born on December 28, 1930, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Theodore "Ted" and Lucille (Jeffery) Miller. Jodelle is survived by sons, Michael (Jaci), Patrick (Linda), John (Karen), David (Mary) and Ken (Martha); and daughters, Julie Bare and Christine “Tina” Lorenz (fiance, Chris Madel); 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren. Jodelle graduated from Julienne High School and attended the University of Dayton where she met her husband of 63 years, Terrence (deceased). She was devoted to her family, her faith and making a positive contribution to her community. Jodelle was a longtime resident of Grandview Heights where she was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. She was a Girl Scout leader and was a co-founder of the Pregnancy Decision Health Center. Jodelle volunteered for Hope Hotline and Birthright of Columbus. She also worked for CompDrug. After their children were grown, she and Terry lived in Dublin for 18 years where Jodelle was a member of St. Brigid of Kildare parish. While there she became actively involved in the Third Order Carmelite. Jodelle lived the past three years at Westminster Thurber where she was on the Religious Life Committee and had many friends. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 3-7 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL AND CREMATION CENTER, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus. Funeral Mass 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 at St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic Church, 7179 Avery Rd., Dublin. Rev. Msgr. Joseph M. Hendricks, Presider. Burial, St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne.
