Goldie I. Meeks, Born in Gallipolis, Ohio. Goldie died on May 30, 2015 to be with the angels. She was preceded in death by husband Charles, mother Jessie Lephart, father Stanley Taylor and sister Wilma Manus. She is also preceded in death by Nick Anicolaites, a special friend. She is survived by daughters Becky Meeks-Weed (Dennis) of Columbus, Ohio and Cassie Marie Gamble (Dana) of Chillicothe, Ohio, grandchildren, Dr. Justin M. Gamble (Brandy) and Taryn R. Nickell (Caleb) and great grandchildren, Madison and Kenzie Gamble and Caleb Nickell. She is also survived by a brother, Lester “Buck” Taylor (Pat), and sister Irene Chapman and several nieces and nephews. Goldie loved to take the city bus downtown and have lunch in the Chintz Room at Lazarus. She also loved the horse races. Friends would often see her at Beulah Park or Scioto Downs picking the Trifecta with the three horses’ names that told a story. She leaves her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with the knowledge that they were truly loved. A very special thank you and gratitude to the healthcare workers and angels at First Community Village - Skyview. A private funeral service for the family will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the JOHN QUNIT TREBONI Funeral HOME, 1177 West Fifth Avenue, Columbus with Pastor Gerald Murphy officiating.
