Obituary
Michael J. "Mike" McManis, age 60, of Powell, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Kobacker House after a courageous battle with cancer. Mike was born January 1, 1950. He graduated from Whetstone High School and The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He spent 24 years in the ready mix industry and was currently a regional sales manager for GivenHansco. Active member of Linworth United Methodist Church, Linworth Camping Group, Fraternal Order of Moose and Board of Forty Plus. He was an avid hunter, loved Texas Hold 'Em Poker and hosted a Monday night game. Preceded in death by his father, Paul McManis. Survived by wife of 35 years Sharon McManis(DeLong); daughter Stephanie McManis; mother Mary McManis; brothers Timothy and Patrick (Laura); sisters Jane (Gene) Saunders, Charlene (Joel) Stone and Bonnie (Jim) Watt; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call WEDNESDAY July 21, 2010 at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 2:00-4:00 PM & 6:00-8:00 PM. Funeral will be held 1:30 PM on THURSDAY July 22, 2010 at the Linworth United Methodist Church, 7070 Bent Tree Boulevard, Columbus, Ohio, 43235, Reverend Eugene Folden, Officiating. My sincere thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I remeber Mike from when I was a kid, he was a very nice and gentile man! (If you dont remeber me I am Carol Berry's neice) I wish you all get through this rough time together. Family is the most important thing.

I was just looking for someone on this website, and I saw Mike, I am so so sorry for your loss. I worked with Mike and continued to be friends over the years from Gelco. I even played Santa for you one year. I did not even know he was sic! Please accept my preyers! Mike was a great guy, he loved his family, he always talked about you both! Love Marvin
