Michael J. "Mike" McManis, age 60, of Powell, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Kobacker House after a courageous battle with cancer. Mike was born January 1, 1950. He graduated from Whetstone High School and The Ohio State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He spent 24 years in the ready mix industry and was currently a regional sales manager for GivenHansco. Active member of Linworth United Methodist Church, Linworth Camping Group, Fraternal Order of Moose and Board of Forty Plus. He was an avid hunter, loved Texas Hold 'Em Poker and hosted a Monday night game. Preceded in death by his father, Paul McManis. Survived by wife of 35 years Sharon McManis(DeLong); daughter Stephanie McManis; mother Mary McManis; brothers Timothy and Patrick (Laura); sisters Jane (Gene) Saunders, Charlene (Joel) Stone and Bonnie (Jim) Watt; several nieces and nephews.
