Obituary

Rocco "Rocky" Latorre, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. He attended Central High School and graduated from the KEL-RHOE Barber College in Columbus, and then entered the U. S. Navy, serving in World War II. He founded and operated Rocky's Western Barber Shop on the Hilltop. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church, St. Francis Seniors, Flytown Club and was a singer in the Bruno Masdea Band. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary (Ridolfo) Latorre; brothers, Carmelo, John and Joseph Latorre; and his wife of 58 years, Mary (Volpe) Latorre. He is survived by his children, Teresa (David) Farrand, Rocco, II (Dana), Carmen (Debi), John, Anthony and Norman; 14 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; sisters, Roseanna (Louis) DeSantis and Mary Lou (Robert) MacNabb; brothers, Norman and Anthony (Vickie) Latorre; brother-in-law, Louis Volpe; sisters-in-law, Patty, Sue and Joann Latorre. Friends may call Monday, May 15, 2017, from 4-8 p.m., at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME 1177 W. Fifth Avenue. Funeral Mass 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 434 Norton Road, Columbus. Entombment to follow, St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne. Ohio Friends are asked to gather at the church for his funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, friends who wish may contribute to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be sent via www.johnquint.com.
